Two police officers in court for R100 ‘cold drink’ in exchange for a passport

POLOKWANE-Two police officers, constables, Nthangeni Khathutshelo (47) and Ndivhuwo Ndou (32) have appeared in Musina Magistrates’ Court for corruption.

It is alleged that the complainant was at the Beitbridge border from Zimbabwe when the suspect Ndou demanded R100.00 in exchange for a passport.

Mashudu Malabi-Dzhangi, NPA Regional Spokesperson said that both suspects further demanded R2000 from the complainant to release his motor vehicle. “The suspects were found with R1000 that they receive from the complainant upon their arrest on 18 July 2023.

“The matter is postponed to 24 July 2023 for verification of profiles and possible bail application”.
