Two people die in a vehicle crash between scholar transport and a bakery in Mokopane

MOKOPANE-In a devastating incident this morning, two people lost their lives when a scholar transport vehicle collided with a bakery delivery truck on the N11, near the Sekgakgapeng intersection and Ngwaditse bridge.

The accident has sent shockwaves through the community, highlighting ongoing concerns about road safety in the area.

According to local authorities, the collision occurred at around 06:00 AM when the minibus, carrying several students, and the bakery truck crashed under circumstances that are currently under investigation. Emergency services responded promptly to the scene, where they found the two vehicles in severe wreckage.

Tragically, two people were pronounced dead at the scene. Their identity has not been released pending notification of next of kin.

Several other passengers from the minibus sustained injuries ranging from minor to severe and were transported to nearby hospitals for medical attention.

The driver of the bakery truck sustained minor injuries and has been taken to a local hospital as a precaution. Early reports suggest that the driver is in stable condition and cooperating with the authorities as they piece together the events leading up to the accident.
