MASHISHIMALE-Two children aged 3 and 7 allegedly accidentally slipped and fell into a water-filled pit toilet at Mashishimale Tshube village, on Monday, February 13 at about 18:00.
The two children were allegedly playing outside next to a pit toilet that is still under constriction when the incident happened.
Due to heavy rains that fell in the area, the pit toilet was filled with water.
The deceased were identified as Tseamo Malatji aged 7 years and Tarrollo Pilusa aged 3 years.
Police Spokesperson Motlafela Mojapelo says Parents and guardians are warned to constantly look after their children and always make sure that they do not lose sight of them wherever they are playing.
The Police in Namakgale have opened a case of an inquest and an investigation is underway.
