TZANEEN-A truck carrying cases of empty beer bottles overturned this evening on the R528 Georges Valley Road, approximately 7 kilometers from Tzaneen.
Preliminary reports indicate the truck lost control at a curve and overturned. Fortunately, no other vehicles were involved in the accident. The truck driver sustained moderate injuries and was transported to Van Velden Hospitalfor medical attention.
The incident has resulted in debris from the bottles scattered across the road. Authorities have temporarily or partially closed the road to allow for cleanup operations. The exact duration of the cleanup is unclear, but traffic disruptions are expected.
