Tributes Pour in for Limpopo’s Only Radiopharmacist who Died in Tragic Car Crash

ELLISRUS-Tributes have been paid to Limpopo’s only Radiopharmacist who died following a horrific car crash on Thursday morning, June 16.

Tzaneen Voice has learnt that Tumelo “Melo” Ramoleta (29) lost her life tragically on Nelson Madela Drive in a head on collision with a bakery truck.

During memorial service organised by Ellisrus district Hospital on Wednesday, she was described as an intelligent young person, who got along with many people across Lephalale.

One of friends could not finish describing the moments she spent with her as she was overwhelmed by emotions, interrupting a speech she intended to give.

She highlighted the difficulty with beginning to speak of Tumelo in past tense.

Her colleague Violet Raphotle described her work as exceptional and pleasing, saying the department lost a Specialist.

“She was so reliable and would do her work so precisely, beautifully, with good attention to detail, including having respect for time.”

Another colleague added that they were calling her by the nickname ‘Zange Zange’, which she liked using now and then when she joked with her friends and colleagues.

According to the Limpopo department of health, she was the first and only qualified Radiopharmacist in the province and with 3 publications : Mouth and oral preparations, an overview of Ivabradine and Patient adherence to understanding instructions.

She was assigned to Ellisrus Pharmacy and was set to join Mankweng to contribute her Radio Pharmacy expertise.

On Friday, June 24, she will be laid to rest at 357 Moshe Section Makotopong Village in Polokwane.
