Tributes pour in for Giyani police officer killed in car crash

GIYANI– Tributes have been pouring in on social media for Giyani police officer Fredrick Mukansi who was killed in a car crash in the early hours of Saturday, September 30.

Mukansi, who was a detective sergeant with the Giyani SAPS, died in a head-on collision on his way from N’wamarhanga village to Giyani.

He was driving his Mercedes Benz when he collided head-on with the truck that was travelling from Giyani to Dzumeri in the area called Chamuriri.

Emergency personnel were summoned to the scene of the crime, jaws of Life managed to remove his body that was trapped inside the car and later certified dead at the scene.

The cause of the accident is still unknown.

The Giyani Station Commander Brigadier Serakwana Cks and his Management extended their condolences and him as a valued member of the South African police services and he will be missed.

“Let’s keep the Mukansi family in our thoughts as they go through this difficult time,” Brigadier Serakwana  said
