PHALABORWA-Three trucks have allegedly been burned by protesters at Makhushane fourway on Wednesday at around 19h30.
The Community Policing Forum (CPF) in Phalaborwa sent an alert to drivers to avoid using the R40.
According to information, it is alleged that the conflict started during the Stakeholders forum meeting with District and Phalaborwa Concerned Community Members who refuse to work together with the Ba-Phalaborwa community forum.
The angered members of the Ba-Phalaborwa concerned group are gunning to be recognised as a legitimate structure instead they were told to work together with BCF.
The meeting ended without reaching an agreement.
Edwin Malatji the Chairperson of Ba-Phalaborwa Concerned Community Members says the members told him to go home and rest, they will take over and protest themselves because their structure and leadership were undermined by stakeholders.
