Three suspected zama zamas arrested at Mulati village

MULATI- The backlash against illegal miners in Limpopo is gathering pace as local residents formed mobs to beat them and arrest the illegal miners in Mulati village under Greater Tzaneen on Saturday afternoon.

The three suspects were arrested after the community impounded on the suspect in the early hours of this morning after police received information about the illegal mining activities, they immediately arrived at the scene to arrest.

Community mobilised to stop illegal mining in the area.

It is reported that the suspects are allegedly practicing illegal mining. In light of this, the community mobilized to put an end to the shenanigans.

The group will appear in the Tzaneen Magistrate’s Court on Monday on charges of contravening the Mineral and Petroleum Resources Act
