PHALABORWA – Three people and 14 injured have been killed in a head-on collision involving a mini bus taxi and a Double cab bakkie on the R71 road near Thavelani lodge Phalaborwa., the Limpopo Department of Transport and Community Safety said on Friday.
It is reported that minibus taxi was overtaking collided head on with bakkie, sadly killing three people and injuring 14 whom were transported to Hospital.
Limpopo Transport spokesperson Tidimallo Chuene said that Reckless and negligent driving are cited as possible causes of the accident.
Chuene also sent condolences to the bereaved families and wishing speedy recovery to those who were taken to hospital
The department takes this opportunity to remind all motorists to drive with caution and to obey traffic rules at all times to arrives alive at their destinations.
