Three armed men robbed spaza shop at Ga-Kubjana in Bolobedu

GA-KUBJANA-Police are searching for three unknown suspects after a 27-year-old Ethiopian national alleges that three unknown armed men stormed the house he was sleeping in and robbed him.

The incident happened at about 05:50 on Thursday, September 29 at Kubjana in Bolobedu under Greater Tzaneen.

It is alleged that the victim closed his shop at about 19:00 on Wednesday and went to sleep with everything still in order.

On Thursday morning he heard the sound of his door breaking and a single gunshot fired outside.

Tzaneen police station communication officer Sgt Maurice Nkhwashu says within some minutes three unknown men stormed the house he was sleeping in with one of them pointing him with a firearm demanding money of which was given an undisclosed amount of cash that was under the mattress, the others ransacked the spaza shop and took packets of cigarettes and a decoder then disappeared into the wilderness.

A case of robbery with a firearm had been opened.
