NKOWANKOWA-Dan Village, located under the Ritavi policing area, experienced a shocking robbery on the evening of Tuesday, June 25th.
A local liquor outlet fell victim to a heist carried out by three suspects, leaving the community in distress.
The robbery occurred at approximately 19h45 local time, as the liquor store owner was preparing to close for the day. According to a media statement from the Office of the Provincial Commissioner in Limpopo, three individuals confronted the victim. Two of the suspects were armed with firearms, which they used to coerce the store owner into reopening the premises.
Once inside, the suspects swiftly took an undisclosed amount of cash and various groceries. Their actions were calculated and intimidating, ensuring the victim complied with their demands. After securing their loot, the trio fled the scene on foot, disappearing into the night.
In response to this brazen act, the South African Police Service (SAPS) has launched an extensive manhunt to capture the suspects. “We are currently pursuing all leads to apprehend the suspects,” stated the media release. The SAPS is committed to bringing these individuals to justice and ensuring the safety and security of the community.
