MADEIRA VILLAGE- A community ‘s water saving efforts have taken a knock after thieves stole one of its 5,000 litre JoJo tanks at Madeira Village in Ga-Sekororo under Maruleng Municipality.
Thieves struck on Sunday night and emptied the tank before removing it.
Speaking to Tshegofatso Mokgahla,the disappointed Ward 10 Councillor said the tank has been stolen on Sunday night and they are still shocked as to why people with sober mind can take community property. This will affect our residents, as it helps our residents with water storage.
“The arrival of the JoJo tanks was part of our plan and strategy to ultimately get off the grid. Coucillor Mokgahla is appealing to the community to assist the police to find these thugs.
