RELELA VILLAGE- The Versatile musician and Capricorn TVET college graduate, Tshepo Maloka (26) is gradually climbing the music industry ladder with his hit single titled “Thetha Nami “.
Maloko was born at Relela village, the singer has featured his high school choir mate Kgomotso Malatji(24) known by many as “Lobedu Queen” in the song to bring out the outstanding rendition.
Both Bolobedu artists discovered their singing talents at Kgwe Kgwe High School through singing at the assembly point and school-based church services.
Thetha hitmaker is a versatile artist who can do afro-pop, House, Gospel, and Bolobedu local music.
“I am into Afro-pop and I have learned to do other genres through collaborations with other artists,” Maloka explained.
Maloka also worked with the Nigerian artist called T-one to produce the first phase of Thetha nami’s beat in 2019 and he then worked with DalotoniQ SA to complete the production of the song.
He further said that song has so far reached people in Western Cape, Gauteng, and Eastern Cape.
“I was very much surprised when I received a call from a person in Cape Town, complementing how great our song is,” Maloka said.
Maloka mentioned that it was not easy to get the right vocalist to suit the standard they wanted in the song, however, Lobedu Queen came to the rescue by exceeding their expectations.
The artist is currently working on an album that will consist of different genres. “I am hoping to work with Lobedu Queen in some of the songs in the album,” he expressed.
However, the Lobedu Queen has more interest in her acting career but she will not rule out any collaboration with Maloka.
He exclusively informed Tzaneen voice that his coming album will feature Sho Madjozi, however, their agreement is on condition that Maloka’s songs should be played on the national radio stations such as Metro FM.
