LERETJENI VILLAGE-Tzaneen Police are investigating a case of rape after a 15-year-old teenage girl from Leretjeni village while she was asleep in her room.
It is alleged that the victim felt a hand of a stranger closing her mouth and threatening her with a gun and an axe.
Tzaneen Police Communication officer Sgt Maurice Nkhwashu said the victim was allegedly taken to the street where she was raped by the gunman.
During the rape ordeal, the assailant threatened to shoot the victim’s father if she dared to cry for help.
“A rape case has been opened and the police are in search of the armed suspect,” Sergeant Maurice Nkhwashu said
