Suspect in the Poo Ke nna Filling Station Robbery arrested

RITA-A man who robbed a Security Officer after collecting money at Poo Ke Nna filling station in Rita on Friday, June 3  was arrested.

The suspect has been identified as Peter Magagula (30) from Mamelodi, Pretoria in Gauteng.

On Friday afternoon, a G4S Security Officer had just collected money from Poo Ke Nna Filling Station at about 17h00 when he was allegedly accosted by two suspects who pointed him with firearms and robbed him an undisclosed amount of money and a Norinco 9mm pistol.

The suspects fled from the scene in a magnite red Nissan with registration numbers KL82BH GP.

The TRT members patrolling around the area were immediately alerted to be on the lookout for the said vehicle. It was then spotted and a chase ensued.

The suspects stopped their vehicle and ran in different directions.

One suspect was arrested and others managed to escape.

The money that was robbed was all recovered as well as the said motor vehicle. The manhunt for other remaining suspects is underway.

Magagula appeared before the Lenyenye Magistrate’s court on Monday, June 6, and was remanded in custody until 14 June 2022.
