MOTETEMA : A number of foreign shop owners have been arrested following a police raid in Motetema in the Sekhukhune District.

This follows a raid by the Police and the community members earlier today.

The raid comes after reports that foreign shop owners sell expired foods in their spaza.

This in the wake of children who died after eating poisonous biscuits in Naledi, Soweto two weeks ago, with two more kids dying after buying snacks in Vredefort in Parys in the Free State.

The Police found expired cold drinks, juice and other food items at the spaza shops in Motetema.
