MOKOMENE: Four months following a harrowing death and an equally terrifying discovery, the mortal remains of slain Modjadji Niccol Thoka will be laid to rest this coming weekend.

The 18-year-old was brutally murdered and dismembered allegedly by a sangoma in January earlier this year.

According to reports, the Grade 11 learner was last seen alive by her family on the evening of the 5th of January while going to buy airtime at a nearby spaza shop.

In a spin-chilling discovery, the lifeless and incomplete body of the teenager was found in an abandoned RDP house in the area following a frantic three-day search operation.

Her breasts, her head, two legs, two hands and her privates were cut off and she was only identified by a family member.

The deceased mother, Ntseta Thoka has always maintained that her daughter will not be buried without her body parts.

On January 17th, Limpopo Police made a breakthrough in the case, arresting a 30-year-old sangoma residing in the area.

This after the sangoma led the police to discover some of the body parts as well as where the head was buried.

The sangoma has appeared in court and is facing charges of kidnapping, murder and defeating the ends of justice.

After four months of grief, the Thoka family will have some sense of peace when they lay their loved one to rest at Mokopu cemetery at Mokomene village, Botlokwa on Saturday, May 25th.
