MOKOPANE – A fatal accident on the N1 claimed six lives while unconfirmed number with serious injuries had to be rushed to hospital.
This gruesome accident happened on Tuesday afternoon when VW sedan lost control and went over the highway and collide with Minibus Taxi which was allegedly heading to Polokwane direction.
Bodies and Injured people lay scattered across the road, six people died on scene, both drivers and four passengers, while four sustained very serious injuries and five sustained serious injuries.
It is reported that VW sedan caught fire after a collision while the minibus taxi overturned.
The N1 between Mokopane and Mokgoopong is currently closed and motorists are requested to use alternative routes.
Emergency services are currently on the scene.
