KHUJWANA VILLAGE-The Khosa siblings from Khujwana village were left homeless after their family home burnt down on Tuesday, May 2.

Neighbours saw that the house was on fire shortly after 10:00 in the Morning.

The two siblings, Reah and her twin sister, Reshma Khosa were not home at the time, so the neighbours and close relatives rushed to the house to try and put the fire out, but by then it was too late.

The pair are said to have been at work while the children were at school when the unfortunate incident occurred. Thus, the cause of the fire is unknown at this stage.

Greater Tzaneen 18 councillor Norman Mkhansi has aided the family and assured the publication that more help will be made available to the family pronto.

“I went to the scene immediately when I heard the news. I then alerted firefighters and disaster management about the family’s predicament. As we speak, the family has already received sponges and blankets. They will today get a letter to take to Sassa so that they can give them food parcels”, Mkansi said.

All Emergency services were summoned to the scene.
