RANDFONTEIN : An employee at Sibanye – Stillwater Mine Shaft was brutally murdered after he was stabbed numerous times by another man in front of onlookers outside the premises of the mining company on Thursday.
The spokesperson for Sibanye-Stillwater, James Wellstead confirmed that as reported to them, the incident took place in an informal trading area and not on the premises of Sibanye-Stillwater.
In the video, the perpetrator can be seen lifting his arm and stabbing his victim point blank in the stomach.
Afterwards, the perpetrator was seen taking selfies of himself beside the lifeless body of the deceased where his stomach was cut open.
Unconfirmed reports further suggest that the suspect also ate some of his victim’s intestines.
Wellstead further claimed that the deceased was indeed an employee and that the perpetrator was a former employee but was dismissed.
Wellstead added that the deceased and the perpetrator were involved in past hostile disputes.
