PHALABORWA-The leakage of sewage system in Phalaborwa continues to be a problem that traumatises residents.
In Ward 1 at Zone D next to the Baptist church, there is a sewage system that has been leaking for the past 8 days without being attended to.
Timothy Mhlari from house no 232 next to Baptist church says the sewage system has been leaking since 17 April and he took turns to report the matter to the local councillor John Mampuru but nothing has changed.
The stench of the sewage continues to torment his family at the same time the sewage leakage is busy creating potholes on the tar road.
When contacted for comment Ward Councilor of Ward 1 John Mampuru says he reported the matter to the municipal officials but nothing has changed he promised to make a follow-up with municipality officials on Monday.
In Phalaborwa town they face the same problem of sewage leakage at Corner Essenhout and Kerk Street there is a massive sewage spill on the street. Nico Dupree a resident says that the health of his parents has been affected by the sewage spill and he wishes the municipality can solve this problem as soon as possible.
