POLOKWANE-A service delivery protest envisioned to shut down Capricorn District is said to be looming. This comes after residents threatened to revolt over the lack of service delivery in Mankweng and neighbouring areas.
Seshego residents led the demonstrations earlier today and protested outside a local municipality. The irate mob reportedly threw garbage at the entrances of the facility to show their dissatisfaction and frustration.
Meanwhile, the University of Limpopo has also suspended lectures and made announcements that normal operations will resume on Friday, April 05, when calm will likely be restored.
“It cannot be business as usual when the people on the ground bear the brunt of potholes, no water, load shedding and many other challenges. It is time to show the state that enough is enough” “, said a resident in Mankweng.
