The famous pastor Tshepo Mankgele, affectionately known as “Moruti pula ea na” rose to fame when he was recorded conducting funeral services, and praying for covid-19 and community leaders.

Nevertheless, Mankgele is said to have hit hard times and is therefore appealing to his fans and the masses to open their hearts to help him and his struggling family.

The man of God has since moved out of the home he shared with his family and secured a stand in Tyckyline village, Greater Tzaneen. However, according to the pastor, the small house he now occupies with his wife and 5 children is inhabitable.

“I am in need of any sort of help available. My house is roofless and I don’t have the means to finish it. I can’t feed my family. Swindlers have extorted money and donations from good samaritans using my name and they never share with me those donations. I feel exploited and hopeless”, Mankgele said.

According to the ward 30 councillor Mashale Mawasha, the pastor and a dozen residents have occupied land next to a river where government services will most likely not be accessible hence the delay in building the family a decent house.

“The families need to vacate that land because it is next to a river and it’s not a conducive environment. If they relocate, we can find donors and fast-track the process of building them decent houses”, Mawasha emphasized.

In any case, those who wish to help the family can reach out to “Moruti pula ea na” and offer any kind of support.
