SEKGOSSE – The Sekgosese community is mourning the loss of one of its most respected businessmen, Ephraim Modziri “Jealous” Masutha, who passed away in the early hours of Sunday, October 26, 2025, at Van Velden Hospital in Tzaneen following a prolonged illness. He was 77 years old.

Affectionately known as “Jealous,” Masutha was a well-established business mogul from Mamaila Kolobetona Village, widely admired for his humility, generosity, and unwavering commitment to uplifting his community.

For decades, he operated a thriving business empire in the Sekgosese area under greater Letsba, becoming a cornerstone of local economic activity. Many community members fondly recall his kindness and compassion — often providing maize meal and cement on credit to help struggling families build and survive.

His passing has left a deep void in the community, with residents describing him as a man who embodied the true spirit of Ubuntu and selflessness.

According to the Masutha family, preparations for his final farewell are underway. Community men will prepare the grave on Wednesday, a memorial service will be held on Thursday, and the burial will take place on Saturday.

Further details about funeral arrangements will be communicated in due course.
