Search for husband after wife’s lifeless body found lying in a pool of blood in Giyani

GIYANI-The Police in Giyani have launched a manhunt for the suspect who allegedly killed his 47-year-old wife at Maswanganyi village on Monday and thereafter fled the scene.

It is alleged that the woman was at home watching a soccer match together with the male person (suspect) believed to be her husband and her brother-in-law.

“After the match, her brother-in-law left the house and later on their 17-year-old son allegedly heard her mother frantically screaming for help in her bedroom. He then rushed out to seek for help, and she was thereafter found lying in a pool of blood.

“The police and members of the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) were summoned to the scene and she was officially certified dead upon their arrival.

“The motive for the murder is currently unknown at this stage but Domestic Violence cannot be ruled out. The deceased was identified as Nelly Nhunhu Mabasa.
