KAMPERSRUS – A tragic scene unfolded on the Kampersrus road Hoedspruit where multiple lives were reportedly lost in a devastating crash involving a truck, an H1 Hyundai, and in a separate incident, a truck and a tractor.
According to early reports, scores of people have tragically died, while several others sustained serious injuries and were rushed to nearby hospitals for urgent medical treatment.
The crash took place between Kampersrus and the Swadini offramp, prompting authorities to completely shut down the road. Traffic has been diverted, and motorists are strongly advised to use the R40 as an alternative route.
Emergency services, including rescue teams and law enforcement, are currently on the scene managing the aftermath and investigating the cause of the crash.
Motorists are urged to approach the area with extreme caution, reduce speed, and cooperate with traffic officials as the road remains closed until further notice.
