SHILUVANE-Community members of Shiluvane village, Greater Tzaneen, are becoming increasingly worried at the growing trend of notes that are discovered in bushes wrapped with red ropes and tied to trees is becoming a norm in Tzaneen villages.

This follows the discovery of another note with the names of people written on it. According to a witness, the red rope around the note is a clear indication of a curse.

“I plead with my fellow neighbours to not rest on their laurels because the devil is at work. Let us look out for one another and not turn a blind eye when we come across such things. It’s worrisome because it seems this is becoming a norm amongst black communities “” Anonymous said.
