TZANEEN -Today marks the 2nd anniversary of the death of Lil Meri, the talented singer who died December 11th after suffering a short illness at the age of 22.
Lil Meri started his music career with a group called Bad Company before breaking out and started singing solo.
Through his music, he was encouraging young people to choose a better life as crime does not pay.
Lil Meri was more recognised in 2019 after he released a hit song called ‘Ngwana Wa Motho’. This hit song has been streamed thousands of times from 2019 until now.
Apart from Ngwana Wa Motho, he also released ‘Ba Melomo’ in 2020. This was when he became more and more popular as many people have shown him support through this Hit song.
He was also nominated for the Limpopo Music Awards and Sepedi Music Awards.
Lil Meri was featured in several hits with well-known Limpopo music groups, Double Trouble and the Bad Company.
The super-talented Amadamara singer’s tombstone will be unveiled on Saturday, December 16 at Mapitlula sports ground.
