Relela Primary School Teachers and SGB Team up to Donate School Shoes to the Needy Learners

RELELA–  Relela Primary School teachers and parents, under Greater Tzaneen Municipality donated 17 pairs of school shoes on Tuesday 03, March 2021.
The school has initiated a progressive initiative that is headed by the school management and the members of the school governing body (SGB) in sourcing out the donations to help the needy learners.
The School teachers have the prerogative of identifying the disadvantaged learners in their classes and report it to the school Principal, Rembo Maake.
The school’s initiative has so far, managed to donate sanitary pads, cosmetics such as tooth-pastes,tooth-brushes, and detol soaps to all Grade R learners. Part of the donated items included school uniforms.
Salome Lebepe, a resident of Relela village Zone G, applauded the Principal and his team for being good Samaritans to the learners.
” I am very much happy to be a recipient of these school shoes on behalf of my child,” she further told Tzaneen voice.
According to the SGB chairperson, Ivan Mokati, this initiative is all about helping orphans and disadvantaged learners, whose parents or guardians cannot afford school uniforms and other learning necessities.
He further said that the school has a clear vision of bridging the gap between needy learners and those who can afford a similar learning position.
In conclusion, Mokati strongly advised others to have a vision and commitment towards changing the destitute positions of the learners.
