MOROKOLOTSI: Just after few hours Mopani District executive mayor addressed the protesters, residents are continuing to barricade the R36 road morokolotsi near Mokgoloboto Village this evening.

This is despite the Executive Mayor Cllr Pule Shayi confirming that supply at some areas that receive water from the Nkowankowa water works has been restored.

Today marks day three of the service delivery protest, that saw major economic activities disrupted due to the closure of the road.

Residents say they have been without water for the past two months and are also calling for the Greater Tzaneen Municipality and power utility Eskom, to do away with the constant load reduction that affects them daily.

Motorists and other road users are strongly advised to avoid the R36 and make use of alternatives routes.
