TZANEEN-The workers who were contracted to work on the Public Works and Infrastructure Road construction project have today, May 18, braved the wet weather and gathered outside the offices in Tzaneen CBD, demanding what they deem as ” delayed salaries and unfair treatment “.

The workers alleged that they signed a 12 months contract, however, they worked for only 7 months. Furthermore, they alleged that they were told to stop working without any notice of termination. To their dismay, new people have allegedly started working on the project.

The Department Spokesperson was not immediately available for comment.
