Principal attacked after mysterious collapse of Learners in Sekgosese

SEKGOSESE-Learners and teachers went on a rampage after multiple learners fainted mysteriously during assembly at Mangoako Secondary School at Itieleng Village in Sekgosese this morning.

According to a parent who did not wish to be mentioned said that, the incident has rattled the community and parents demand answers from the management of the school.

“We rushed to the school after seeing ambulances rushing to the school. It cannot be business as usual after what transpired today. Someone must account “, said the parent.

Reportedly, the principal Matome Mashaba locked himself in the office out of fear of being attacked but was subsequently dragged out of the office.

It was revealed in a meeting that allegedly, the school harbors a lot of people practicing witchcraft. Amongst a myriad of allegations, the water tanks erected at the school are reported to have a snake and as a result, teachers and leaners reportedly carry water bottles to school.

The pupils started searching the office of the headmaster and discovered a trunk fully loaded with traditional beads stashed away in the office.

The classes were suspended immediately after the incident.

The matriarch, queen Raphahlelo, the community as well SGB members and Sekgosese police were summoned to the school after the situation became tense.

The Department of Education was not available for comment.
