Jewellery store at Savannah mall robbed by a group of armed assailants

POLOKWANE-The staff at Debbie Mouton Jewellers store at Savannah Mall in Fauna Park, in Polokwane, is still in shock and traumatized following a robbery that took place at the store on Friday morning at around 09:00.

It is reported that a 33-year-old female was on duty at a local store at Savannah Mall with her colleagues when a group of men armed with firearms entered the store and demanded money and gold.

The suspects proceeded to the display area and safe and took out jewellery worth thousands of rand and put it into bags. Two of the suspects assaulted the employees before they fled the scene in a grey Toyota Corolla sedan motor vehicle.

One of the suspects was captured by the Mall’s CCTV footage. No injuries nor fatalities were reported during the robbery.

The South African Police Service in Polokwane in Limpopo activated a team of investigators to trace and arrest suspects who committed a business robbery.
