POLOKWANE- The City of Polokwane has announced a planned long-hour electricity outage, which will leave many areas of the municipality without electricity for eight hours on Friday,10 March 2023.
The city residents, businesses and other stakeholders would have to brace themselves for an eight-hour power outage that is planned to be implemented from 08h00 am until 16h00 on Friday.
The municipality says the eight-hour electricity interruption is due to the repairs to be done on the broken earth wire on the Alpha 66 KV line and the installation of new high-voltage equipment at the Gamma substation.

The city further cautioned all affected areas to treat all electrical wiring as live and to switch off all appliances to avoid injury and damage once the power supply is restored
