DAN VILLAGE— Police have released identity of the 30 year old woman found murdered near a local liquor store at Dan Extension, Bindzulani, on Tuesday, 13 May 2025.
The deceased was identified as Shelma Malesa from Dan extension.
According to Limpopo police spokesperson, Colonel Malesela Ledwaba, officers were on patrol duty when they received a report of a possible murder in the area at around 11:11 a.m. They immediately responded to the call and rushed to the scene.
Upon arrival, police were directed by a male witness to the lifeless body of a woman lying on the ground with a stab wound to her neck. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) were summoned and sadly declared the woman dead at the scene.
At this stage, the motive for the killing remains unclear, and no arrests have been made.
