Police Investigate Alleged Racial Attack in Modjadjiskloof

MODJADJISKLOOF– What began as a normal evening for Collen Motolla turned into a nightmare when he was attacked and left unconscious at the side of the road in Modjadjiskloof on Friday, October 23.
According to police reports, he was allegedly approached and attacked by seven white men and beaten to a pulp while he was out drinking on that night is mentioned that he was found by a passerby, lying on the road, he rushed him to the nearest hospital where he was given medical attention.
The reports further mention that the incident happened at a local tavern called the Long Room and the motive behind the attack is believed to be racially motivated.
One of the suspects, Desmond Robson appeared briefly in the Modjadjiskloof Magistrates Court where he was granted R500 bail, and his co-accused known only as Malan is nowhere to be found.
Sergeant Vincent Montsha confirms that Motolla also appeared in court as it is believed that Robson laid a charge of assault against him and claims to have been manhandled by Motolla and strangled during the physical fight
