LENYENYE – A successful police operation has led to the recovery of 4 suspected stolen and hijacked vehicles.
A joint intelligence-led operation saw a multi-disciplinary team on Friday pounce on four addresses to recover 3 Volkswagen and 1 Suzuki vehicle in Nkowankowa, Petanenge, Bridgeway and Lenyenye in the Greater Tzaneen Municipality.
According to the police, the suspects are part of the syndicate that rob hitchhikers in Musina, Polokwane, Thohoyandou, Vuwani , and Giyani.
The preliminary investigation reveals that the three cars belong to a renting company.
All the suspects managed to escape.
Police investigation are currently underway.
