TZANEEN-After three years of break due to covid-19, the Phelophepa train arrived in Tzaneen Station on Monday August 8 until August 19.
According to Greater Tzaneen municipality Spokesperson Neville Ndlala the health services that will be rendered includes but not limited to dental clinic, counselling/psychology clinic, edu clinic, covid19 vaccination, cancer and diabetic educare and social work services.
“Unfortunately, this year eye clinic will not be offered due to damage caused by KZN floods to part of the train’s coaches affecting the eye clinic portion earlier this year’’ Ndlala said
The Services will be offered to the public during weekdays only. He added
The transnet initiative in partnership with the Limpopo department of Health offered up to 80 short term job opportunities to young people of Greater Tzaneen Municipality.
The employed people will work for two weeks earning from R170 per day. Opportunities created and offered are – interpreters, kitchen assistants, cleaners e.t.c.
The Mayor of Greater Tzaneen Municipality his worship Cllr Phetole Molapisane will welcome the train and its management/staff on Tuesday the 9th August at the station.
