Phalaborwa traffic officer funeral details announced

PHALABORWA-The family of the Phalaborwa Traffic officer who was knocked down by a car on R71 last week while on duty announced funeral details.

Inspector Itani Robina Ravele will be laid to rest on Friday at Mauluma Village Thohoyandou.

The memorial service will be held on Wednesday in Phosphate Community Hall at 12h00. Transport arrangements have been made for those who don’t have transport it will cost R280 per person who wants to travel.

The 36-year-old Itani Robina  Ravele was Limpopo Provincial Inspector stationed in Phalaborwa.

Ravele died after a breakdown Nasdin LDV, knocked her down while she was doing point duty near Nguluve lodge in Gravelotte under Phalaborwa municipality

According to the Police report the cause of the accident could have been brake failures and overspeeding of the breakdown recovery vehicle.
