The Phalaborwa-born fashion designer Ouma Tema was amongst the entrepreneurs who enjoyed the economic spin-off of dressing ANC members at the January 8 celebration in Mpumalanga.
Out of frustration from not finding the perfect stylish size in a retail store, Tema started designing her clothes and sharing them on social media.
Her journey started from the boot of her car until the opportunity presented itself to work from her apartment garage which she quickly turned into her studio.
10 years later, the entrepreneur is the owner and Chief creative designer of fully figured women’s fashion label Pus Fab fashion brand, a fully-fledged factory with a growing team of dedicated employees and partners who share in the vision.
Amongst the high profile female politicians that were dressed by Plus Fab include ANC Second Secretary General Nomvula Mokonyane, Minister of Housing Mmamoloko Nkensani Kubayi, NEC members Nonceba Mhlaule, Khusela Diko, Vuyo Mhlakaza, Lulama Gamede, Bathobile Nhlapo and Limpopo ANC PWC member Nkakareng Rakgoale.
The ever-energetic and vivacious fashionista Tema expressed her joy in showcasing her fashion range that some dignitaries managed to buy.
From a young age, Tema always loved fashion. She loves beautiful things. She has stores in Gauteng and KZN
