BOLOBEDU- The music duo Richie (27) and Sello, C Boy (26) Teanet of Rise Teanet, are a perfect example of the notion that a leaf does not fall far from its tree.
Richie and C boy Teanet who have catapulted into the music industry with their famous hit single of 2021 ‘Nunu’ featuring King Monada, are the sons of the renowned legendary Shangaan disco king, Peta Teanet, who died on a shooting in Acornhoek, Mpumalanga in 1996.
Peta Teanet was arguably Limpopo’s, or even the country’s greatest disco musician, has undoubtedly passed his iconic voice and guitar skills to his sons in Rise Teanet.
The duo group Rise Teanet are currently making a name for themselves in the music industry and thanks to ‘Nunu’ in collaboration with King Monada, which kept many on their dancing shoes.
After the release of ‘ Nunu’, their music career is blossoming, as they receive gigs week in and week out.
Many musicians who admired and worked with their father such as General Muska, King Monada, Dj Janisto are helping the duo to follow in their father’s footsteps and keep his legacy on.
Speaking to TV, C Boy who was born few months before the untimely death of his father said, even though a load of carrying his father’s legacy is very heavy, they possess enough talent to emulate their father’s greatness.
While Richie said is proud to be the next generation from his legendary father and will press forward until they reach their destiny in the industry.
”Rise Teanet duo is not the only children of Teanet to find success in the industry, his other daughter Monica has also followed on her father’s footsteps.
The venerated music legend Peta Teanet would have been turning 56 years on 16, June 2022.
