PHALABORWA-It is reported that the woman was visiting Shoprite, Phalaborwa, for grocery shopping earlier today when the unfortunate incident happened.
Witnesses allege that the refrigerators in the store were leaking and there was water all over.
Unfortunately, the victim happened to be in the aisle where the floor was wet and slippery and as a result, she slipped, fell and her hand was cut by a refrigerator.
Store managers are said to have alerted Maphutha hospital to send an ambulance, however, the victim demanded to be assessed by a private doctor.
No comment was available from Shoprite management.
