POLOKWANE- The death of Ntlhekeng Kgatla, a media liaison officer at Limpopo Tourism Agency, came as a blow to everyone who knew him. The 36-year-old communicator passed away on Sunday, September 04 in Polokwane.
A memorial service was held in his honour on Thursday, September 08, at Nirvana Hall in Polokwane.
Dr Lesetja Kgatla, who represented the family said they were heartbroken.
“Only God knows our departure from this world, he knows the time and day, death has never prepared anyone. God gave and he took, we have to accept,” he said.
Speakers at the memorial service included representatives from LTA, Suzan Ramodike, labour union, Mokotlou Mamphekoa, the Chief Executive Officer, Thapelo Kotsedi, the acting Chief Executive Officer, Sello Maleka, Limpopo Provincial Tourism Association, Gerhard Franken, media, James Shikwambana, SALGA, Ledile Sebati, Government communications, Ndavhe Ramakuela and national media, Anastasia Mathews.

All speakers mentioned that Kgatla was dedicated, hardworking, energetic, kind and had a charismatic personality.
He was dependable, a member of a team, a good cameraman and a hardworking person. LTA family is deeply saddened by your departure.” Said Maleka.
Franken mentioned words shared by Kgatla last week, “When I cannot sleep, I create,”
Shikwambana said Kgatla had a special gift of creating and building relationships. He was also described as a soundtrack of excellence and a good communicator who would relate well with everyone.
A sombre mood was hanging over in the hall when Mokgadi Kgatla read his obituary. Masilo Makwela extended words of gratitude to everyone who attended and supported the family through messages and all forms of support on various platforms.
The funeral of the late Ntlhekeng Kgatla will be held on Saturday, 10 September 2022 at 07:00 at Jack Botes Hall and will proceed to Silicon Cemetery in Polokwane.
