No Certified Copies Needed For Government Job Applications


The cost of applying for jobs can be extremely difficult for job seekers. This as they often incur costs but don’t necessarily have money.

The Department of Public Service and Administration (DPSA) has announced that job applicants are no longer required to submit certified copies of their educational qualifications and other relevant documents on their applications.

DPSA Acting Director-General, Yoliswa Makhasi said this will alleviate the administrative burden on the Human Resources section as well as reduce the costs for job seekers.

The DPSA Applicants will still need to submit a Z83 form as well as supporting documents and a detailed CV. They added if the required information is not provided on the CV, the applicant may be disqualified.

Applicants are reminded to complete all fields in full for Part A, B, C and D in full. Concerning Parts E, F and G where there is limited space, applicants can indicate “see attached’ Curriculum Vitae (CV).

Candidates who are shortlisted will be required to submit certified copies to the Human Resource section on or before the day of the interview.

Makhasi added that questions related to conditions that prevent re-appointment in the public service space under Part F of Z83 forms must be answered. The declaration must also be completed and signed.

Applicants must use the latest Z83 form for employment issues. Applicants who fail to do this will be disqualified.
