KGAPANE-Today, the Greater Letaba Municipality came together at Sasko Hall in Kgapane to remember and honour the life of Ngoako “Fischer” Ramokgola, a cherished member of the community and municipal family.

Fischer, as he was warmly known, passed away this past Tuesday following a prolonged illness, leaving a lasting legacy of dedication, joy, and unity.

Fischer served in the municipality’s Technical Services directorate, specifically in the plumbing unit, where he was known for his diligence and commitment.

This marks the second employee loss for the municipality in two weeks, a somber reminder of the valued individuals who work tirelessly to keep communities thriving.

Speaking on behalf of the Technical Services directorate, Senior Manager Ms. Gugu Nhlane conveyed her deep sadness.

“We are heartbroken to be bidding farewell to one of our own. Mr. Fischer was a hard worker and cooperative employee. He was extremely respectful and dedicated to his work,” said Nhlane.

Her words were echoed by many colleagues who described Fischer as a joyful soul, with a remarkable ability to uplift those around him through his humor, kindness, and love for dancing.

Fischer’s family spoke of his deep commitment to his loved ones and his responsibility to his family, particularly his devotion to his wife. Those who knew him well admired not only his light-hearted personality but also his steadfast dedication both at work and at home.

Representing the Mayor, EXCO member Councillor Rito Baloyi called for solidarity among employees in these trying times. “This is no time to be in tears for a man who lived a full life.

We need to honor his memory by being united and understanding our roles as civil servants,” said Baloyi, inspiring a renewed sense of purpose and community among Fischer’s colleagues.

The memorial was filled with heartfelt singing and dancing as Fischer’s colleagues and friends celebrated his life and spirit, vowing to carry forward his legacy of joy, hard work, and unity.

His memory will forever be etched in the hearts of the Greater Letaba Municipality employees and all those who had the privilege to know him
