THOHOYANDOU- The well-known Tshivenda comedian, actor and film producer Ntambudzeni Rasendedza better known as ” Mr Bundu” was sentenced to 10 years imprisonment by the Sibasa Regional Court after found guilty of attempted murder.
“Mr Bundu” was finally sentenced on Wednesday, September 28 by the Sibasa Regional Court after awaiting trial for two years whilst behind bars for attempting to murder his 28-year-old girlfriend Tshifiwa Nedidi.
The talented Tshivenda comedian Rasendedza was arrested in February 2020 for assaulting and breaking his girlfriend’s foot.
Since his second assault arrest “Mr Bundu”, kept on being remanded in Police custody while awaiting trial until was sentenced on Wednesday.
It was not for the first time that the attempted murder convict was arrested for assaulting his girlfriend, in 2019 he was arrested for allegedly hitting Tshifiwa with a hard object and further covered her with a plastic and set it alight.
However, after Rasendedza was released on R750 bail, the couple rekindled their relationship and Tshifiwa further dropped the assault charges against his famous controversial boyfriend.
