Mother of Sole Survivor of bus Crash visits daughter

POLOKWANE-In the aftermath of the devastating R518 road at Ga – Mmatlakala mountain, Mokopane crash that claimed the lives of 45  pilgrims from Botswana en route to Moria City, one glimmer of hope emerged as an eight-year-old girl was found to be the sole survivor.

As the nation mourns the tragic loss, attention turns to the young survivor Lauryn Siako

and the heart-wrenching ordeal she faces in the wake of the accident.

The mother of the young survivor introduced as Gaolebale Siako was spotted last night arriving at Mokopane Hospital in Mahwelereng accompanied by family members.

In a display of unwavering strength and love, she has stood vigil at her daughter’s bedside, offering comfort and support during this unimaginably difficult time.

The crash, which occurred when a bus carrying pilgrims was involved in a horrific accident, has sent shockwaves through the country and beyond.

As authorities work tirelessly to piece together the events leading up to the tragedy, families are left grappling with profound grief and loss.

Emergency responders found Lauryn outside the bus with minor lacerations to her arms, legs, head and back, said Thilivhali Muavha, a spokesman for the Limpopo Department of Health, where the crash occurred. She was in stable condition on Friday, Mr Muavha said.

Meanwhile, the province’s Health MEC says that the identification of the deceased in the bus accident continues.

Some victims were burnt beyond recognition.
