MAKHUBIDUNG: A four-year-old boy will today, mark exactly a week of being to admitted the hospital after he was bitten by dogs in Makhubidung Village under Greater Tzaneen.
The incident took place on Friday.
According to the mother, the boy was on his way home when dogs from his neighborhood came chased him unprovoked.
Although the boy ran, the dogs eventually caught him and bit him, leaving him with multiple scars on his legs and thighs.
The mother told Tzaneen Voice that she contacted the owner of the dogs, who also happens to be the operator of the crèche that the victim attends but she only gave her a card.
“She came yesterday to give me the clinic card for my child because they want it at the hospital”
“She found me at home but she didn’t even apologize for what her dogs did to my son, ” the mother bemoaned.
The mother says she has already opened a case at Maake Police and has also gotten in touch with relevant authorities to have the dogs confiscated.
The boy is recovering well at the Dr CN Phathudi Hospital.
