POLOKWANE: A month later following the untimely passing of Kedidimetse Moche, the family says its struggling to come to terms with the loss.
This was revealed by a family member who spoke to Polokwane Weekly following yet another postponement of the murder case.
Kabelo Peter Duba ( 34 ) appeared before the Polokwane Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday, facing a murder charge of his girlfriend, Kedidimetse Moche.
The body of the 27-year-old Tshwane University of Technology Polokwane Campus was found with gunshot wounds and dumped under a bridge in Chuenespoort towards Lebowakgomo in August.
‘This ( the killing ) has emotionally damaged the family. It still feels like a bad dream. I don’t think we will come to terms with her death. We feel so robbed,’ said a family member.
Asked about the longevity of their relationship, the family member said that they know of Duba as he used to video call Moche whenever she was home in Gauteng and have been dating for over a year.
The family says that the only thing that will comfort them is if a life sentence can be imposed on the accused.
Duba will stay in custody after he abandoned his bail application on Wednesday and will return to court on November 29th.
