Mokwakwaila Police shut down taverns and Arrest 22 Suspects For Various Crimes

MOKWAKWAILA-Police in Mokwakwaila have arrested 22 suspects for various crimes including possession of dagga, Possession of dangerous weapons, contravention of Covid-19 Disaster Management Act and Public drinking over the weekend.

This comes after the Provincial Commissioner General Thembi Radebe raised a concern about the none compliance of the liquor outlets in Mokwakwaila policing area, she sent the Operational members to restore order in the area.

Mokwakwaila Police Communications Officer Sgt Tinyiko Manganyi indicated that a case of malicious damage to property is being investigated after a police van was pelted with a stone at one of the local taverns at Ga-Wally village and the police will continue to work without fear as rooting out criminal activities and have a crime-free area is our mission.
